Giveaway: 70s Floral Handbag

It is about time for a new giveaway! It has been a while so I figured before I left town for the week I'd set this up.

Use the rafflecopter widget below.

You can win: a 1970s Handbag with earthy tone flowers on the outside. It is such a cute little piece that I found at an antique mall a little bit ago and wanted to share.
It is made of a poly blend - not leather

Nashville Greek Festival

Trying on fisherman hats

Like this dress?  Click here!
Woah, let me tell you this last week has been exhausting and I was so glad to get a couple hours to get out and about with Shawn and check out the Greek Festival. It is put on by a Greek Orthodox church in Brentwood, TN.  I have a love for Greek food so I was pumped to go out there and get some. I was boring though and just got a gyro. The pastry line was crazy long and I am way too impatient to wait. So instead we went to look at all the Greek dancers and vendors.

There were so many beautiful colors at this festival I was just loving every moment!
I wore a dress from the shop, 1970s polyester light pink floral dress. Shawn told me I looked like a grandmother but
Also if you noticed...I dyed my hair bright red! We will see how long this color lasts haha.

Stay tuned I'm hoping to get a giveaway going on here by the end of the week!

So I went back to the ole day job for a little while, went to Philly for the weekend and am trying to maintain a tiny personal life.  So updates are fewer these days but I at least wanted to share these rockin' new items

Even the Hillbilly Musicians Can Be Fashionable.

For all of you who don't know, I LOVE country music history. It is what I specialized in at school and just took a break from working in Nashville. That being said, one of my favorite things is to look at old photos from country music history. And this week I found the jackpot on facebook.  I'll share a couple of the best here with you but please, please visit Owen Bradley's "Quonset Hut" Facebook Page.

To fill you in, Owen Bradley's "Quonset Hut" was one of the fore runners of recording history in Nashville. People like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson, Brenda Lee and many others did their recordings there. But check out these photos and go to their page to experience even more amazing history!

It is a shoe kind of day

So lately I've been going on a man hunt for shoes. I absolutely adore vintage shoes and I thought I needed to share some of my finds with you.

Vintage Funky Johansen Heels

The red and blue 'America' heels are probably my favorite. Too bad they are not in my size! Which are yours?
