Is singing loud for all to hear
Here is the second song. Oops I missed yesterday, already failed.
Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree
Tomorrow I will send one from Santacon NYC. Lots of Christmas cheer with a little beer.

Original Teen Idols : Vintage Style
Wanted to share these couple of cuties. In today's age, it is totally normal for most our musicians starting as teen idols, but in the music of the past there weren't all that many. Check out a couple of the original Biebers.
If you didn't know already, I spend a lot of my time working in one of the studios in which a lot of this music was recorded, Historic RCA Studio B. So, as you can imagine I have a special love for this music. It is a place where people come from all over the world to visit. It is common to have women in their 50s or 60s cry as they walk through the studio. They sit at Elvis' favorite piano and cry. It is so incredibly cute that after all these years they have such a love for the idols they held as children.

Beatles Love
While making a treasury today, I fell into some great Beatles stuff on Etsy. I heard a musician play a great rendition of While My Guitar Gently Weeps this weekend and have been on a The Beatles kick since. Indulge with me.

8 Years After Cash
Today marks the anniversary of the death of one of my greatest idols, Johnny Cash. He died on September 12, 2003 at the age of 71.
I've always found Johnny to be one of the most interesting human beings I've learned of. I have spent many hours reading books about him and listening to his albums and I can honestly say if I could go back in a time and meet one celeb, he would be it.
He is an inspiration to me, not only as a musician but as a person. Although he had his demons like anyone else, he had a extremely strong faith and accepted people of all walks of life. If you ever get a chance to read deeper into his life story: do it!

When the band comes to town
First off if you haven't heard of them, make sure you check out the band Frontier Ruckus.
They are a group of guys I went to school with in Michigan, Brian their bassist used to be a part of our regular jam sessions in the dorms my sophomore year of school. We'd all sit around with different instruments and play different folk tunes, sitting around drinking PBR. Let me tell you it was hipster paradise.
Anyway, the band is doing really well these days, not just playing in the co-op houses around campus and they came to play at Music City Roots again. So of course, we had to go check it out.
If you ever get to check it out, Music City Roots is a pretty cool show. They showcase upcoming as well as already established Americana and Folk musicians from all over the US. It takes place at the Loveless Cafe, so before you see the show, you can eat some of the most delicious southern food.
After the show, the boys got their first experience of a Nashville Honky-Tonk at Robert's. It is always a fun night when you end it in a honky-tonk.

If I Could Only Dream My Way There
So on this return to cold, spring evening, I'm sitting alone listening to a neat little mix of Mumford and Sons and Edith Piaf and my imagination just starts running wild.
I wish it were easy to just pack up and move to Paris. Live a troubadour life. Live in music, live in art and just exist in romantic evenings filled with wondrous music and wine. I know that in my head I'm picturing Jazz age Paris which I'm sure is nothing like the modern. But I know the bright city has its own wonders to offer someone like myself in this day and age.
I would love to say this was possible, I've done it before in Ireland but I took the responsible route, got a college degree that makes me pay ridiculous amounts every month that make it mostly impossible to live like a true gypsy anymore.
Lottery anyone? Just enough to pay off the loans and live on the road. You in, babe?

Willie
Just to start off, I LOVE Willie Nelson. My friends named me after him. So here is a taste of the Redheaded Stranger.
Along with Willie, a lot of my work is inspired by a country, rambling, Texas lifestyle even though I'm originally from the North. So if we have any sassy southern ladies out there, lets chat!! Or I hope you at least enjoy my blog!
